Shoulder holsters appear to have tumbled out of errand. Conceivably
it’s because some of us subordinate them with a 1980s-television show that contained
two vice squad forces officers, one of which wore pastel T-shirts under a white
dress coat and pants. Recollect Miami Vice and actor Don Johnson? He carried a
Bren 10 in a shoulder holster recognized then as the Jackass Rig and made by
the Famous Jackass Leather Corporation. Love or hate the demonstration, the
holster scheme became a national icon in the gun world, and the shoulder
holster developed known as the Miami Classic. The company that made it developed
recognized as Galco Worldwide.
The Galco VHS is a definitive camouflage rig with roots going
back to the Miami Classic, previously called The Jackass. If you wear a jacket frequently,
it’s an outstanding way to have a concealed, yet custom holster organization.
The Galco VHS is a classic suppression rig with roots successful
back to the Miami Definitive, formerly named The Jackass. If you wear a jacket frequently,
it’s an excellent way to have a concealed, yet tradition holster organization.
One variant of the Miami Definitive shoulder holster is
Galco’s Vertical Holster Scheme, or VHS. It uses the same attach design, same
ammo transporter, and is made of the same premium steer hide as the Miami
Classic. The main difference is the location of the handgun—vertical, instead
of straight.
Regardless of the ancestries of the Galco VHS, shoulder
holsters in over-all may not be as popular since fewer people attire a sport
coat or suit coat these days. Dressing in “commercial professional” clothing,
while standard for some, is merely not as normal as it maybe once was.
Whatever the reason, some of us still attire a shirt, tie,
and sport coat and want to conceal a handgun in a rig that the whole thing well
with our clothes. Galco touts its VHS, as faultless for first responders and
military workers. The vertical orientation, however, also meets a demand for
civilians who want to carry a concealed firearm—just not straight, as Galco’s
other shoulder holster organizations do.
